A house help was on Wednesday morning shot dead by armed robbers in Komarock area after she denied them access to her employer’s house.
Florence Munene was on her way back to the house after dropping off her employer’s children to school when she met the gang of robbers.
The gang is said to have cornered Ms Munene and ordered her to take them to her employer’s house.
She is said to have co-operated and walked with the men towards Mr Bernard Kimangu’s house, but let out a loud scream just outside the door.
Mr Kimangu opened the door, but on seeing the armed robbers, closed it immediately before they could get could get in.
The robbers then shot at Ms Munene on her head and she died instantly.
Kayole OCPD Ali Nuno told Nairobi News that police are still combing the area in pursuit of the gang and so far no arrests have been made.
“The robbers escaped right after the incident and we are on high alert to ensure they are found,” he added.
Kayole is one of Nairobi’s crime prone area. In April this year, a five member gang stormed Mihango Police Station and attempted to steal firearms. Police officers on duty fought back and killed one member of the gang.
