Three suspected gangsters were gunned down by police on Friday evening in Kasarani and two loaded pistols were recovered after the shootout. A police officer attached to the Special Crime Prevention Unit was injured during the 4pm shootout with the suspects. According to reports, the suspects were on a boda boda and there were planning a robbery mission along Mwiki-Kasarani Road and after being discovered by the police they started shooting at the officers.

The officers returned fire and all of the suspects were fatally injured. They recovered two pistols; a Ceska and a Beretta loaded with eight bullets in total,”said Kasarani OCPD Mr Mboloi.

The officer said that the motorbike that the three were using was also recovered and the bodies of the suspects were taken to the City Funeral Home.
