Nairobi streets appear deserted on Friday morning

Nairobi central Business district was virtually deserted Friday morning as many of the city residents opted to remain at home due to fear of transport inconvenience. Traffic flow in the CBD was smooth due to the low turnout of people in the city. State house issued a notice to Nairobians that today will not be a public holiday despite of the traffic interruptions during the day.

Well this photos have it that most Nairobians decided to give themselves a ‘holiday’ as many feared to become stranded when going back home. Major universities also were closed as many students did not turn up for fears of transport inconvenience when going back home.
