Safaricom redesigns the data offers to allow extension of their validity.

Due to public demand, Safaricom telecommunication network has decided to review a new array of data products that will see subscribers use data bonuses during the day. Customers will be in a position to extend the validity of their unused data bundles on renewing bundles.  As in if you purchased the daily 7MB bundle and you have used 5MB, the remaining 2mb will join the validity of the next bundle you purchase. i.e(“kama the next bundle utanunua ya 7mb, the bundle balance itakua 9MB. Since the 2MB yenye ulibakisha haita expire.”)

The new package is an about-turn from the firm’s current unpopular policy, where it restricts use of data bonuses to between 10 p.m to 6 a.m.
“We listened to our subscribers and made the necessary changes to the customer journey to allow them to continue to enjoy the unparalleled data experience that only Safaricom can provide,” said Sylvia Mulinge in a statement.
Under the new data package, subscribers will have 18 options – starting with 5MB of data for Sh5 to packages for 50GBs for under Sh7,000.
The packages have been categorized in daily, weekly, monthly and 90-days data bundles.

  2. It amazes me why shud one be opposed to free night bundles equivalent to bundles one buy.

Kenyans surely like complaining for nothing....

Many who work at night or who arrives home will be biggest loosers...not kids sleepung b4 10oclock.
