Pastor 'STOPS' October El Nino

A pastor in Mombasa has told Kenyans and the government not to worry any more about the impending El Nino rains as he has talked to God to stop the heavy downpour.
Pastor Geoffrey Mwarigha told Radio Citizen that he took the bold step to talk to God about the coming El Nino and was able to convince him to stop the rains that have already scared Kenyans who have had experiences with the dreaded rains before.
His move was inspired by the fact that President Uhuru Kenyatta stood firm against homosexuality when US’ Barack Obama visited the country in July, 2015.
I decided to stop the El Nino because President Uhuru rejected homosexuality in front of Obama when he visited the country in July,” the man of the cloth told the station.
He went ahead to reveal some of the things he spoke with God, saying that he was found to be the only true leader who God could speak to after other pastors faltered in one way or the other.
He said this in reference to the controversies that have surrounded pastors in Kenya recently. Such include Pastor James Ng’ang’a Maina of Neno Evangelism Church who allegedly killed a woman in July and tried to cover up with the help of police officers.

Pastor Ng’ang’a was later arrested and spent two nights in Gigil Police Station cells and later presented to court where he was released on a KSh 500,000 cash bail. He is facing charges related to the same.

God told me he is using me because he wants to bring back trust and believe among the faithful after their leaders faltered,” Mwarigha said.
The 1997/98 El Nino wreaked havoc in the country as property worth millions of shillings was destroyed. The government has moved quickly to set aside Ksh 5 million for the predicted rains that weathermen believe will come early October, 2015 and end late December, 2015 with some regions experiencing them till mid-January, 2016.
