Here's the Bull That Cost President Uhuru Kenyatta KSh 1.1 Million (PHOTOS)
President Uhuru Kenyatta bought a bull worth KSh 1.1 million, beating KSh 950,000 bid made by Nairobi governor Evans Kidero for the well-fed animal.
President Kenyatta took away the KSh 1.1 Million fattened two-year old 630kg bull that was on display at the Nairobi International Trade Fair (NITF). The animal is a crossbreed of the Boran and Simental cattle breeds.
Last year, the President was beaten to the prize by Karim Kurji of Prime Cut who bought a bull at KSh Sh670,000. Kenyatta, who had offered KSh 600,000, upped his game this year, beating Karim Kurji’s KSh 950,000 offer. Another contender, Spring Field Meat Limited offered KSh 700,000.
Governor Kidero’s KSh 950,000 won him a reserve bull that was equally well fed. Both bulls will be donated to Nairobi county police for their efforts in ensuring security in the city.
