“Leslie Chepkoech was NOT Electrocuted by Earphones.” Girl’s Father Trashes Whatsapp Rumour
Rumours spread very fast. All this currently is powerd by the use of social media platforms. If you are on whatsapp or facebook you might have come across a message that went viral stating that former PC Kiplimo Rugut's daughter was found dead in bed after being electrocuted by her earphones.
It has not been revealed the origin of the message as it could be a difficult task to truck its source due to the quick and vast spread.
During the funeral service on Friday Mr Kiplimo Rugut told the family and friends that his dauhter died of a heart failure and not from an electrocution.
“I want to state categorically that my daughter was not electrocuted. Doctors conducted an autopsy and told us that she had died from heart failure,” he said.
Addressing the mourners in Lessos, the former PC advised against speculation.
“People have come up with speculation about the cause of her death including being electrocuted while using earphones. There was nothing like that. It is not good to spread information which may lead to double tragedy.”
Though Leslie was using her phone while charging, there was no evidence that she was infact electrocuted.
However the report on being electrocuted by earphones is to rare to imagine as the phone voltage is too low for such an accident to occur.
