The day drogba asked wanyama for some Omena

Moments after Southampton’s English Premier League match against Chelsea last season, manager Jose Mourinho, who was acknowledging players from both teams after the 1-1 result, suddenly initiated a longer chat with Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama.
I was impressed by your game today. Keep it up Victor. By the way, how is (MacDonald) Mariga faring on?” the Chelsea coach inquired.
Wanyama in return thanked the Portuguese trainer for the compliments and confirmed that his elder brother Mariga, whom Mourinho signed and worked with during his stint at Inter Milan back in 2011, was doing fine.
Pass my regards to him,” Mourinho concluded the conversation.
Several handshakes later, Wanyama bumped into Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, a player who has since moved to the Major League Soccer in the United States.
Hey Victor how are you? I will be visiting your city in the few days and could check on you if you don’t mind. Hope you have those fresh small fish (omena), that would make a good meal,” Drogba told Wanyama.
Wanyama in turn acknowledged the Ivorian player.
Chelsea and Southampton will meet again in the league on Saturday evening amid recent reports that the London club are exploring possibilities of securing the signature of the Kenyan midfielder.
Mourinho is said to be interested in Victor, who almost joined Tottenham in August, to problematic defensive midfield position that is currently manned by Nemanja Matic and John Obi Mikel.
