This is what happened at Deputy president's house that left her wife the happiest woman.
A few weeks ago, Deputy President, William Ruto, touched the hearts of many Kenyans after he adopted a young girl who was abandoned by her mother after birth.
The DP made the decision to adopt the young girl after he learnt of her heart breaking.
Apparently, the toddler was found buried alive and parts of her body were decomposing.
After she was rescued by good Samaritans, the girl named, Nadia was taken to the Madre Ippolita Children's Home in Machakos County, where Ruto found her and decided to take her as his own and even named her after his mother.
Nadia is expected to start living with the Ruto’s from Monday when her adoption papers are finalized.
But as the Deputy President’s family were preparing to welcome baby Nadia to their home, they received a pleasant surprise after friends to DP Ruto’s wife, Rachel, organized a baby shower.
Armed with various gifts, the women descended to the DP’s home where they helped Mrs Ruto prepare to welcome baby Nadia Jerono.
Mrs Rachel later took to social media to express her appreciation for the thoughtful surprise saying
"I got a pleasant surprise this evening from friends who organized a baby shower in readiness for baby Nadia Jerono who is expected home this Monday….thank you all and Karibu Nyumbani binti Nadia"
