This is what JAGUAR did in Mukuru kwa Reuben

Popular Kenyan musician Charles Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar is without a doubt one of the most successful celebs in the country.

The Huu Mwaka hit maker, who is also a NACADA director, cruises around in top of the range vehicles, wears designer clothes and lives a fancy lifestyle that many only dream off.

However this was not always been his lifestyle.

Jaguar has had to work extremely hard to be where he is today as he grew up in abject poverty.

Through social media, the popular artist recalled of days when he used to share a one roomed house with his elder sister in the lowly Mukuru kwa Reuben slums in Nairobi.

According to the talented singer, life was not only hard as the siblings used to sleep on the floor but it was also pathetic as he would wear paper bags before wearing his torn shoes to prevent his feet from getting wet.

“This pic reminds me of 16yrs ago when i used to live here Mukuru kwa reuben slums with my sister who who got married when she was 17yrs and had to sleep on the floor in her mabati 1 roomed structure.....and every morning i had to put paper bags before wearing my shoes to avoid water getting into my feet thru my torn shoes” Jaguar recalled.

However, the modest conditions only served as a motivation for Jaguar to work hard in order to escape the poverty.  And now the successful musician and philanthropist, who recently visited the slums in his top of the line Range Rover to distribute goodies to people living in the area, can only look back and appreciate how far God has brought him.

“I always told my sister i will one day get her out of here and i thank God i did...16 yrs down the lane this is how i came to Mukuru kwa Reuben to donate to Gatoto primary sch..Never loose hope,God works in miracles.” Jaguar captioned the photo below:
