Students from the garissa university collage who survived the attack will always live to tell a long tale in their lifetime of how lucky they were. Here is Millicent Murugi from embu, a second year student who is eight months pregnant, she narrates of how she played dead for 10 hours during the attack in order to survive. Millicent claims to have smeared herself blood from her dead colleague and she lay still like those who had been shot. She did this to fool the Alshabaab militants and she successfully managed to get out unhurt. This was a courageous move that many cannot be in a position to try.

She went ahead to narrate how the attackers were tormenting them by saying; “Your security agents are cowards and cannot save you.”
