Fierce Earth quake hits nepal killing dozens of people. (view story & photos)



A fierce earth quake with a 7.8 magnitude hit Nepal on Saturday and as at now the reported death toll is 1,970 people in four countries. According to officials and life savers, the number of deaths is expected to rise in coming days. Authorities reported on Sunday that out of the 1,970 people who lost their lives, 60 from Nepal and 721 died in Kathmandu.  The Earth quake struck just before noon Saturday (2:15 a.m ET)
18 mountain climbers in Mount Everest were found dead after the tremor triggered the avalanche and still it is feared that more are trapped.
The tremor caused dozens of building to collapse in Kathmandu including the Historic Dharahara Tower.
Kathmandu’s International Airport shut down their operations for hours hampering initial relief efforts in the isolated mountainous country.
