Four children shot in a gang fight in Nairobi. View story
A Crossfire between rivaling thugs occurred in Dandora phase
4 after members of a gang disagreed on how to share what they got from a
previous robbery. The 3.15pm incident left four children wounded after they
were hit by the stray bullets.
According to a parent, the children are pupils at Juhudi
Acadamy. The parent claimed that the children were leaving from school when
they were caught up in the crossfire. The children are aged between 5 and 10
years. “I was
called by a neighbor who told me that my child had been injured. When I went
there, I found him and three others wailing in pain and so I just took him to
hospital” he said.
Two of the children were shot in the arms, one at the thigh
and the fourth one who is a girl; she was shot in the leg.
Police later arrived at the scene and they collected the
used cartridges from the shooting that was revealed to have lasted for about 20
minutes.
