Hawking will be prohibited in the stadium during the Madaraka Day celebration.

Hawkers will not be allowed into the Nyayo stadium during the Madaraka Day celebration on Monday. Njoroge Ndirangu, the Nairobi Regional County Commissioner Said that the hawkers shall not be allowed in the stadium but will be allowed to sell their wares outside the stadium gates before and after the occasion.
This was said in a meeting in Nairobi of the National Celebrations committee, where he stated that security forces will be beefed up within the city. He also stated that enough forces will be deployed around the stadium on Monday to frisk people as they walk in.
