Busia man consumes rat poison after quareling with wife


Men have resulted to using suicide to solve their love disputes. More than three similar cases of men committing suicide after being quarreling with their lover have been reported in a span of one week. 
 
A 40-year-old man in Busia was on the morning of Monday, September 14, 2015 found dead after allegedly taking rat poison following a suspected domestic violence case with his wife.
It is reported that the man had quarreled with the wife the previous day, threatening to kill her and their three children but she escaped.
The deceased body has been taken to Busia county referral hospital as police launch investigation into the exact cause of death.
Residents however said that the deceased died after taking rat poison when his wife left alongside their children.
David Egesa worked at a local food kiosk in Matayos market of Busia county.

The news came as another man in Kisii county committed suicide in another suspect case of domestic violence.
It is alleged that the deceased had disagreed with his wife’s decision to join university prompting her to dump him.
