Mwiki MCA saves pupils from the outgoing teachers strike

A MCA in Mwiki has decided to save pupils of St Dominic Primary school in Kasarani from the outgoing teachers' strike.
The MCA Mr Isaac Ngige has been tutoring candidates for the three weeks that the teachers' have been on strike. Mr Isaac claims he is an alumni of the school and he found it appropriate to offer a helping hand to ensure that the pupils did not waste time during the strike period.
He has no teaching skills but he still offered himself to do the best of his knowledge to help the poor candidates who are awaiting their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education by the end of the year. He has been receiving a lot of support from parents and he is currently teaching a total of 70 pupils after he started off with only 17 pupils.Ngige has also been joined by his close friends to help him handle the huge numbers.
Before teachers made good their threat to strike, I wrongly thought that the Government would move with speed and avert it. The impasse between the two parties and the subsequent effect it would have on the children necessitated my action,” he told the Standard.
The ward representative's noble act was welcomed by the school's administration who allowed him to teach in the institution.
GOOD JOB MR ISAAC.
