Shocking: Look at the amount equity bank has lost after a bank roberry

Robbers who were posing as auditors of Equity Bank, Kenya’s largest bank by customers, took off with KSh 30 million from the lender’s branch in Othaya, Nyeri county on Friday October 2, 2015.
The Star newspaper reports that three armed thugs arrived at the bank some minutes to 7:00am and identified themselves as auditors from the lender’s headquarter in Nairobi.
When the men entered the bank, they drew a knife and ordered the guards to lie down as they stashed the money into three sacks,” central regional police commander Larry Kieng is quoted by The Star.
It is said security guards allowed them in when they flashed their fake identification badges. They stole the money and escaped using the backdoor. Police are investigating the incident.
