Deputy president apologises after his Motorcade accidentaly injures two girls
Deputy
President William Ruto has apologized to the family of the two children who
were injured in an accident involving his motorcade during a trip Muranga
County on Friday 19th
On a post on
his official Facebook page, Ruto pointed out the unfortunate incident. “ I
am sorry for the unfortunate incident” He wrote.
The two
girls are said two have sustained minor injuries after the accident, but were
rushed to hospital where they are recuperating.

They were
part of a huge crowd that was lined up to see the DP when the eager crowd
pushed them on to the path of the moving motorcade.
His full
post reads
My
sympathy goes out to the two young girls injured in an accident involving my
motorcade in Murang'a. They are being treated for bruises on their legs. I am
sorry for the unfortunate incident
The Deputy
President had visited Gatanga Constituency to commission refurbishment of
buildings at Ndunyu Chege Primary school when the incident happened.
The incident
attracted huge online debate as allies and critics commented on Ruto’s post.
Many Kenyans
online have urged the DP to go ahead and sort out the hospital bill of the two
girls.
While many
were quick to acknowledge his sympathy, others blamed his office for what they
termed as a “wild motorcade”.
