COTU secretary Francis Atwoli protests for not being invited at Obama's statehouse Dinner

Francis Atwoli, Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary general is not a happy man, especially following the historic visit of Barack obama to Kenya.
The vocal trade unionist has protested, through COTU, the fact that he was not invited by Uhuru Kenyatta at Barack Obama’s State House dinner on Saturday, July 25, 2015.
In a paid up newspaper advertisement, Francis Atwoli expressed shock that COTU was also not invited to key functions graced by Barack Obama.
Atwoli argues that COTU should have been represented particularly at the State House dinner where Uhuru Kenyatta paid tribute to  Tom Mboya, the late trade unionist turned politician.

Uhuru lauded Tom Mboya for playing an instrumental role in securing a number of Kenyans including Barack Obama senior opportunities to study in the USA.
“As a Kenyan who leads the labour movement…that to date still has in library the Obama Senior files; the organisers should have seen the ambiguity in the whole address in inviting me at the banquet,”  Francis Atwoli said in the newspaper advert.
