Pastor Ng'ang'a's congregation to contribute 3.5Million towards renovation of Gigiri Police station

James Maina Ng’ang’a has been making headlines for the better part of the
month. He was a guest of the state on Wednesday and Thursday last week as he
awaited the hearing of his case in which he is accused of the death of a woman
by dangerous driving and failing to report an accident.
After he left Gigiri police station where he had spent for
two nights, what he said about the place will astonish you. Pastor Ng’ang’a
promised to give the station a facelift to the tune of KSH 3.5 Million as he
claimed the place was in a pathetic condition especially the toilets.
“Before
I left, I told OCS Joshua Ekirapa I will come back and repair the toilets,”
Ng’ang’a said.
The pastor went ahead and made the
financial appeal to his congregation yesterday and it has been reported at the star newspaper that there was a ‘near
stampede’ as members of the congregation rushed to pick donation envelops that
were being issued on by pastor Ng’ang’a.
However it is not clear whether the
police department will accept the ‘gift’
