A man lands in hospital after wife canes him with a 'mwiko'

A man has been admitted to Machakos Hospital after his wife beat him with a mwiko (a cooking stick) during an argument in their home.
The 39 year old man is now recovering from his injuries. The violence escalated from a normal domestic argument into a full blown physical fight.
James Barasa, the Mbooni OCPD says that it was then that Wayua Mueni used the mwiko to beat her husband, Sammy Mutua. Mueni then fled the scene.

According to Citizen TV, Mueni left the scene to avoid the anger of the public. Despite her attempts to leave the area, she was found and arrested by police. The woman now is in custody at the Mbooni police station. Police are currently investigating into the incident further.
