Man commits suicide in Lake Victoria after disagreement with the wife.

A 21 year-old man in Odendo village, Nyatike constituency allegedly took his own life, after his wife left him.
The deceased’s brother Steve Ochieng said that Bernard Otieno, a fisherman in Lake Victoria, had been going through a rough patch with his wife.
He said that she left him and went to stay with relatives, and Otieno’s efforts to try and resolve the standoff bore no fruits.

“He committed suicide following a disagreement between him and his wife who left him some days ago and has been staying with her relatives,” Ochieng was quoted by Migori News.

He recounted that the day Otieno went missing, he said that he had gone fishing, but was not seen again.
His body was found over the weekend by colleagues at the shores of Lake Victoria with a rope tied around his neck.
Nyatike police took his body to Migori Referral Mortuary.
