From zero to Hero: You may collapse after seeing the Millions SAUTI SOL makes in a month.
A few years back, members of celebrated boy band group, Sauti Sol, were just struggling artists in the streets of Nairobi trying to make it in the competitive music industry.
But after a lot of hard-work and persistence, they are now one of the most sought after bands in Africa.
They have flown Kenyan flag high across various continents and that’s why American President Barack Obama and other dignitaries cannot resist their massive tunes. Sauti Sol’s success in the music industry has also come with a lot of financial benefits.
According to their manager, Marek Fuchs, the group charges between Ksh 1.5 Million to Ksh 2 Million per show.
And mind you, the band gets an average of ten shows in a month. This means that they make about Ksh 20 Million in a month through shows even before adding the revenue from ringtones, royalties and endorsements.
But in a busy month like December, they can perform in 40 shows translating to about Ksh 40 Million in just one month.
With all this money, we can comfortably say that Sauti Sol is among the richest bands in Africa.
