Controversial Students Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU) Chairman, Babu Owino is without a doubt one of the wealthiest personalities in the country. 

Just recently the outspoken comrade’s leader caused an uproar on social media after it emerged that he was planning to hold a Ksh14.4 million birthday party. 

However the student’s leader source of wealth has always been a mystery as he has always been very elusive on the topic. 

But speaking during a recent media interview, the flamboyant student, who has close ties with top government officials including President Uhuru Kenyatta, decided to reveal who finances his lifestyle. 

Babu begun by stating that he had a close relationship with the late Libya’s President, Muammar Gaddafi, whom he claimed used to finance his life and political activities until he was killed. 

The student leader then stated that the death of his financier forced him to look for new sponsors, who he claims are well connected international personalities. 

However, Babu refused to name them claiming that they might be killed just like his Gaddafi. 

“Long ago, Libya’s late president, Muammar Gadaffi used to be my best friend, and he used to finance me. When (Gaddafi died) I was left a financial orphan, I decided to look for other international friends (who) I would not disclose, because when I reveal their identity, they are killed – just like what they did to Gaddafi,” Babu Owino disclosed.
