TRAGEDY Student Drowns At A Photo Session After Completing KCSE

A form four student drowned soon after completing his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) during a photo session at a river in Nyandarua County.
The incident happened at River Pesi in Ndaragwa, Nyandarua county when a group of students had gone to for a group photo after they had completed their KCSE exams.
The students from Uruku Secondary school raised an alarmed when one of them slipped, fell into and drowned.

“We rushed to the ground and found the students crying saying that one of them had drowned. The students were all shocked,” said Joseph Njaramba, a resident of Ndaragwa as speaking to The Star.

The officer commanding division of Nyandarua north Morris Assillah confirmed the incident to Star saying he had sought the assistance of divers to help in retrieving the body of the deceased. Police have however, launched investigations into the incident in an attempt to verify exactly what happened.
