President Uhuru's flight to US cancelled during last moment (Story)

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s trip Los Angeles was unfortunately cancelled during last minute due to security reasons. President Uhuru was attending an annual Milken Institute global conference in Los Angeles. Reason behind the cancellation of the important tour was due to increased military action in Yemen. The plane he was had been scheduled to fly over the Yemen Air space en-route to Dubai where he was to take another flight to Emirates commercial flight to the United States. Following the reports of the military activity in Yemen it was considered not appropriate for the president’s journey to continue and his plane had to be re-routed back to Nairobi. The president touched the ground at 11.42 PM at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

This has led to a lot of inconvenience both to President and the other guests who were expecting him in the United States. All preparations were ready about his security and the residence where he would spend the night when he was there.
