Motorbikes, the new escape plan for gangsters.

Gangs in Kenya have discovered a more unique way of using motorcycles for conducting their uncouth acts. Motor cycle robbers have become the main headlines in the daily news. In Meru it has become the new get away option for gangsters. The reason behind this trend is because motorcycle riders have increased in large numbers hence making it difficult to trail down the exact suspect in case of a police chase. These gangsters use narrow routes and footpaths which are inaccessible by motor vehicles hence making it difficult for the police to chase after them. After they escape they then change the motorcycle registration.

This issue has disadvantaged the boda boda business since the innocent riders have also been placed on the category of suspects and they operate under strict supervision of the police and also some of them are arrested through mistaken identities. The police should find out ways of dealing with this motorcycle gangs and this trend should not be allowed to continue further than where it has reached.

It is just a day after Nakumatt internal Auditor shot dead by unknown assailants and escaped through a motor cycle.
