Barack Obama university in Kiambu closed down

Officials of the Commission of University Education (CUE) on Wednesday shut down Barack Obama University in Ndenderu, Kiambu county.

The university was scheduled to take its first intake this year.

The CUE team, led by chairman Prof Henry Thairu, stormed and closed down the facility that was being renovated in preparation for admission of students.

Prof Thairu said the proprietor will be arrested and prosecuted.

He said the commission had not seen any application from the proprietor.
