Old man looses his life after being knocked down by the presidential motorcade





President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto yesterday visited Kakamega County to hand over a symbolic 1billion shilling cheque that is ment for the revival of Mumias Sugar Company.  The president’s trip however caused agony and grief to a family living at Lutunyi area after an old man and his grandson were knocked down by one of the cars in the motorcade. The old man died on the spot and the grandson is nursing injuries.
It is just a week after Deputy president’s motorcade accidentally injured two girls in a recent trip to Muranga and later the deputy president apologized for the incidence.
