This is why Jaguar has chosen to resign from Nacada board
Musician
Charles Njagua Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, has resigned as a board
member at the National Authority for Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse
(Nacada).
The musician
cites chronic corruption at the board as the reason for his resignation.
This is
barely two months after he was handed the job by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Jaguar was
the surprise inclusion in the 302 officials named to the 79 state corporations.
The musician
is set to hold a press briefing on Monday to explain the circumstances that
have led to his resignation.
The
anti-drugs agency has been marred by wrangles apitting Chairman John Mututho
and a section of the board over alleged fraud involving Sh99 million.
