Boda boda rider knocks down a 3year old girl to death while escaping from police officers

A man riding a boda-boda hit and killed a three-year- old girl while evading the police.

The rider suspected to be carrying illicit brew across the Kenya- Uganda border was avoiding police arrest when he knocked down the girl in Alale area, North Pokot Sub-County.
Confirming the incident, Deputy County Commissioner Abdrisaak Jaldesa said that the girl died on the spot as they trailed the suspect.
Enraged residents invaded the area police station protesting against the incident before police officers fired shots in the air to disperse them.

The incident comes at a time when the Government is actively on the ground fighting the manufacturing of all second generation alcohol.

The move followed a directive by President Uhuru Kenyatta that was aimed at saving the young people bound in addiction.
