GUN MEN SHOT BY POLICE IN MOMBASA ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON.View story
Insecurity has become the rhythm of the country since time
memorial. Many incidences of burglary are reported on different parts of the
country. And the worst of it is that 80% of Kenyan crimes are involved of armed
robbery leaving hundreds of questions of where this ammunition is coming from. Armed
robbery has become a threat to many Kenyans since these criminals are ambushing
innocent Kenyans anytime and hurting anyhow and even going to an extent of
killing them.
The police should be always on high alert in order to be in
a position to fight and reduce these armed robbery cases in the country. Also
the police should act quickly to tip offs from people about a certain incident
in order to save innocent Kenyans from the wrath of the illiterate hooligans
who are out here to destroy the peace of the country.
Well this is an incident that happened on Thursday afternoon
after the police gunned down five suspected gang members along Moi Avenue
following a tip off that they were planning to rob a show room around the area.
They managed to shoot the thugs down after a deadly shoot out. The police were
able to recover three magazines and twenty rounds of ammunition in the stolen car
that they were using.
OCPD Geoffrey Mayek confirmed that he had received
information that there was a vehicle moving around town terrorizing people. By
this they acted quickly to the information and they were in a position to get
hold of the culprits.
